Removing Shower Doors and Replacing Them with a Curtain
Are you tired of the hassle of cleaning shower doors? Or maybe you're just looking for a way to update the look of your bathroom without spending a lot of money. If so, replacing your shower doors with a curtain is a great option.
Shower curtains are available in a wide variety of styles, colors, and patterns, so you can find one that perfectly matches your bathroom décor. They're also relatively inexpensive and easy to install. Best of all, they can be removed and washed in the washing machine, making them a low-maintenance option.
Materials you'll need:
- Shower curtain
- Shower curtain liner
- Shower curtain rod
- Screwdriver
- Drill (optional)
Step 1: Remove the shower doors
Start by removing the screws that are holding the shower doors in place. Be careful not to drop the doors, as they can be heavy.
Step 2: Install the shower curtain rod
Once the shower doors are removed, you can install the shower curtain rod. The rod should be long enough to extend at least 6 inches beyond the opening of the shower.
To install the rod, simply hold it up against the wall and mark the location of the holes. Then, drill pilot holes and insert the screws.
Step 3: Hang the shower curtain
To hang the shower curtain, simply hook it over the shower curtain rod. You may need to adjust the length of the curtain so that it hangs evenly. Add a shower curtain liner to add an extra layer of protection against water.
Step 4: Enjoy your new shower!
Now that you've installed your new shower curtain, you can enjoy the convenience and style of a curtain without the hassle of cleaning shower doors.
